  • Can I borrow books online through Somaiya Vidyavihar OPAC?
    OPAC do not allow online circulations by the members themselves at the moment. You have to obtain your books and other resources from the library itself.
  • Can I do reservations online? How do I do that?

    Reservations can be made online on resources that are not currently available in the library you are looking into. To do that, Click on My Account link available in the OPAC Home page If you are logging in first time, system will prompts you to change the password. Use your Member ID as Username and password to login. Select your library name from the list. Complete the Change Password transaction.

    My Account Home page will appear. Search the required book. If a required book is not currently available in the library, Reserve option will get enabled. Click Reserve link to reserve the book/title. System will generate Reservation number. Next, as soon as reserved title get returned, you will be intimated through an automatic email. Or get in touch with librarian.

  • I want to search resources that are available within my library only. How do I go about that?
    In OPAC home page search for required books, then search result will display available books in all libraries of Vidyavihar. Left side of the page click on your library name to refine your search from one library.
  • How can I know what are the books issued to me?
    By logging in My Account option available in OPAC home page.
  • What are services offered in OPAC?
    Basic Search, Advanced Search, Catalogue Search, Ask A Librarian, My Account
  • How can I know what are the library policies?
    By logging in My Account, available in OPAC home page.
  • What information or services available in My Account?
    1. My Account consists of your personal information about your Course & Class studying. Policy allotted to you. List of books issued to you. And facility to reserve the books in case not available.
  • Can I search books/resources without login?

    Yes, you may search books/resources without logging in.
